Attorney Anita Allen has over 25 years experience representing individuals, corporations and municipalities. She graduated from Dartmouth College and received her Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. Attorney Allen worked as an associate attorney at Shipman & Goodwin where she represented large corporations in high-profile environmental litigation matters both in court and before governmental entities including local land use committees, the State of Connecticut and the Environmental Protection Agency. Attorney Allen was later named City Attorney for the City of New Britain, where she was the chief litigator defending the City, counseling the Mayor and the Common Counsel on litigation matters as well as contractual matters for the City, including contracts for the construction of the New Britain Stadium, as well as contracts with the then New Britain Red Sox/Rock Cats to play at the stadium. Locally, she worked on land use issues, contracts, and legal concerns in connection with the development of a large commercial and residential property on the west side of Danbury. She has also worked on developing contracts and handling issues regarding canine and equine contracts and animal law issues.
